Install
- Loosen the two cage bolts. Slide the strap under the cage so its slots sit on the bolts. Snug the bolts.
- Slide the dome over the bottom of your bottle. The ribs grip the bottle.
- Push the strap root into the pocket on the dome skirt until it stops.
- Turn the M4 bolt into the nut. Snug plus a quarter turn with a drop of blue threadlocker. Do not overtighten.
Check your event's equipment rules. Most non-drafting triathlons allow bottle fairings. Some time trial bodies do not.
Questions
Will it come off on rough roads?
The pocket carries the load and the bolt only clamps. The ribs hold the bottle. We have not had one come off on chip seal, but a strap of tape around the skirt costs nothing.
Is it legal in my race?
Most non-drafting triathlons allow a bottle fairing. Some time trial bodies do not. Check your event's equipment rules before race day.
Will it fit my bottle?
It fits the standard round bottle, 25.5 cm around. That is the common 620 to 750 ml bottle. If yours is a tall insulated bottle, it will not.
